Title:  Global Tax Compliance Manager

HollyFrontier Corporation is seeking an experienced Global Tax Compliance Manager to be based in our heaquarters in Dallas, TX.  This position will manage multiple direct and indirect tax matters for rest of world (“ROW”) operations.  


This position is not eligible for International Relocation Program benefits. 


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

  • Leads direct and indirect tax support for Company’s operations outside of North America (ROW), including management of local advisors and corresponding with local tax authorities
  • Prepares and/or oversees ROW direct and indirect compliance efforts, including management of tax compliance deadlines/deliverables and any local tax audits
  • Leads tax support to Accounting/external auditors with respect to the preparation of local statutory filings to ensure tax accounts are appropriately stated
  • Reviews ROW transfer pricing policies and leads effort to prepare transfer pricing documentation for ROW operations, including local files (where applicable) and any secondary filings
  • Conducts tax research and provides technical support to other personnel, as needed
  • Other special assignments or tasks may be assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

Five (5) to eight (8) years of direct tax experience; international tax experience.



Experience as a manager with a public accounting firm (Big 4 or midmarket) and/or reputable multinational company.



A minimum of a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Taxation or related field.



Master’s degree OR combination of professional designation and experience as a manager with a public accounting firm (Big 4 or midmarket).



Proficient in the English language including written and verbal communication skills. The position will require establishment of working relationships and regular contact with global corporate management personnel (i.e. Accounting, Legal, and Treasury). The individual must be able to work effectively with all relevant departments to find solutions that are best from a global perspective. The candidate must have excellent analytical and decision making skills. The candidate must possess the ability to research, plan, organize, and direct complex tax assignments.  The individual should be proficient with spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications.



Experience with indirect tax matters. Outstanding organizational and time management skills, including prioritization of multiple assignments, and the ability to work independently.  Experience with SAP is a plus.



Office based with up to 10% travel by land and air required. Driver based environment. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.
